What language is used in Tanzania?

Swahili is the National Language of Tanzania, however English is widely spoken,but  learning a few words of Swahili can be useful and will be appreciated greatly by the local people .

What type of cuisine available?

Most common food are swahili local dishes,you will find these in local restaurants and local eating places(mgahawa) However both local and international menu are served in hotels and lodges depending on your preferences, to be sure just ask for availability of your preferred food to be sure they serve it.

What mode of exchange is available in Tanzania?

Tanzanian shillings (Tsh/Tzs) divided into 100 cents. Major foreign currencies such as US$,Euro and travelers cheque are widely accepted and are convertible at banks and Forex bureau in main towns and tourist areas. Master cards and visa cards are accepted in high end hotels and some of local tourist centers. All park fees are paid by cards, if you have master card or visa card they are accepted but many Tanzania national parks discourages paying in cash. however there other mode of digital mobile money transfer like Mpesa, halopesa and airtel-money where by if using WORLD REMIT the money will go direct into the mobile account of the correspondence  

How secure is Tanzania ?

Tanzania is generally safe country but do take your precautions, use your common sense. Keep your eyes on your belongings. Don’t walk in the towns or streets at night-take a taxi instead. Don’t carry camera or large amount of money and beware of pickpockets. Use office safe deposit boxes with your new password for digital boxes. if no safe leave them with hotel manager  and make sure you get receipt, leave your valuable jewelry at home.

How is the climate in Tanzania ?

Generally dry and hot with cool nights/mornings in June-October, short rains from November to mid-December and long rains March-May  but the seasons can vary. The coastal strip is hot and humid all year round. Temperatures on Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru drop to below freezing
